H2S GAS (HYDROGEN SULFIDE) - KILLER GAS 

H₂S occurs naturally in the processing of oil & gas and could be found in all oil and gas facilities of operations. Hence, oil and gas companies put forth appropriate measures to manage the hazards of hydrogen sulfide. 

Protective Equipment and System, Regulations and procedures are in place, which, if followed, allow us to work safely with hydrogen sulfide. 

What makes H₂S deadly? 

1) It is very hard to detect - you can not see it and high concentration, you can not smell it, your nose will become useless as the gas increases. Since you smell nothing, you think it is safe—a mistake that could be fatal. 

2) It is highly poisonous - it goes directly to your brain and stops your lungs. You can not breath anymore; without air, death occurs. It could kill with only one breath.
